Re: Jolla C

I had it when my provider changed and I switched SIMs - though I think it happened as the number ported. Not sure.

Anyway, I discovered that the value in the ril file was not pointing at the...

Re: SailfishOS 2.0.2.390 -> 2.0.2.43 -> 2.0.2.45 Aurajoki

There is a TJC entry that says that the J1 needs to be at 2.0.2 to be able to create a backup that will restore on the JC. I'm not on the early access for my J1 yet (probably will sign up now that...

Re: SailfishOS 2.0.2.390 -> 2.0.2.43 -> 2.0.2.45 Aurajoki

Has anyone worked out how to restore, yet? Esp. if using a backup from J1 to JC? I've looked around and seen that there's some issues, but I can't even see how to trigger a restore, let alone work...

Re: The Future of Jolla's Tablet

You can add users to your "Ignore" list (it's under your control panel).

EDIT: also, if you click on their name and go to their profile, at the top there's a drop-down called "User Lists". Under...

Re: Random reboots

It was a battery that was causing my random reboots. So might be worth a try.

Re: Jolla 2 expectations

True, but it does strongly suggest a non-Intex one, which may mean it's more widely available. Wasn't sure where else to post it. :)

Re: Looking glass - simple magnifying glass app for Jolla

I think you've muddled up with spy glass, there.

A looking glass is a mirror (as in "Through the Looking-Glass and What Alice Found There").

Re: Jolla at Slush 2015

Interestingly, the vast majority of video pages work for me, including youtube. Which, considering I use a webkit based browser on my desktop and youtube doesn't work on that, puts it above that...

Re: Jolla User Experience Thread

Don't know about GUI file or if there's a dbus method, but you could look at systemd unit files for one way.

The Arch wiki has a resonable overview (and some refs at the bottom)...

Re: [Announce] modRana: a flexible GPS navigation system

OS are still there on the Bing Maps interface. I've checked both the new and old interfaces. I'm wondering if, with the new interface, the url has changed. I can look into the source of the page...

Re: Jolla tablet countup to delivery[Now With Poll]

Search results are a gateway into the ecosystem. That's what the reviews need to look at - it's a new OS.

Anyway, I know, I admit it, I was wrong to expect a review to mention Openrepos, or much...

Re: First thoughts about the (pre) Sailfish OS 2.0

That's not really the same issue I had. It was opening the store app, and stuff like the weather wasn't affected. Not sure about the OpenRepos stuff as those repos get lost every now and then -...

Re: Jolla tablet countup to delivery[Now With Poll]

Basic qemu doesn't need gtk3 support. I use qemu on my desktop and don't have gtk3 installed. It was probably some management application that needs it.

Re: Jolla tablet countup to delivery[Now With Poll]

No. But he could plug Sailfish OS into a search engine and have 30 minutes looking round the current ecosystem. That's how long it would have taken.

This isn't a simple user, it's a review.

Re: First thoughts about the (pre) Sailfish OS 2.0

My only two issues I've experienced so far on 1.1.9 are:

1) Twice last week I have had the UI crashed by Jolla Store. After that I have had to rebuild the application registry - which rebooted the...
