I am not sure about sound, on my XperiaX there is no sound when pulling down a pulley menu or type on the vkb for example.
Instead of sound there is haptic feedback, which means the device vibrates...

So which was your problem, haptics or audio?

Haptic fb is done via a small motorlike device which shakes the phone, right? so how come boosting audio volume helps with it...

Just like with anything in linux you have many ways to accomplish what you want to do; to get a bit-by-bit accurate backup of your partitions you can use dd, however tar or rsync should...

Official "early adopters version", which means you have to sign in to the ea-program to get it.
It goes live for everyone to update to in a couple of weeks, if there are no showstopper bugs...
