SHR unstable is a "live" distro and is built from upstream continuosly, so the best way to follow the development is to read commit logs.
The important part is the isimodem support in the FSO...

Every phone running a good linux kernel with a GSM module supported by FSO or oFono is able to run debian (or any other standard userland OS) with a free telephony...

With Nokia Qt SDK driving bluez via dbus, then I open the resulting /dev/rfcomm* with posix api (as QFile did not emit signals when new data arrives) and a socketnotifyer.

Meego has reference apps to place phone calls, sms, and so on and IIRC there is a project to debianize meego apps.

Another way may be try porting neoPhysis apps, and emh..., that should be easy as...

Hi, I have a problem reading data from a zephyr heart rate bt monitor using standard rfcomm ports.

Using it on a normal linux laptop with bt dongle runs fine, with:

* rebuilt head nitdroid 2.6.28 06 kernel in scratchbox adding MMC and ext2/3/4 support
* copied lib/modules, lib/firmware and /dev from maemo in...

If you switch the OS with multiboot you'll reflash the kernel and lose u-boot. There are other issue too such continuous reflashing and support only for Linux OS and kernels able to mount the nand...

Yes! but I think that both kernels see them in the same manner, cannot confirm and check now, please verify with cat /proc/partitions under freemantle.

Right, packages are built with different instruction sets.

And anyway as chroot fails and bootmenu uses a root pivoting/changing, it cannot work.

U-boot is a good boot manager, I used it for years on the OpenMoko freerunner. It has a menu and is configurable: settings, scripts, environments are saved to a nand partition.
