Re: [Announce] Rockpool - Pebble daemon for Sailfish

Sorry, hadn't noticed it had never had the QtWebKit requirement. New build on OBS and Openrepos (adding OBS repository is recommended)

Re: [Announce] Rockpool - Pebble daemon for Sailfish

I switched to building it on the Mer OBS, because it's easier to get a clean build. Maybe it changed the vendor or something which blocks the update?

Re: [Announce] Rockpool - Pebble daemon for Sailfish

Yes, devel-su for installing and removing packages. No specific directory. The second command refreshed my repo, if you were using that, to pick up the fact that I removed that rpm from my repo. The...

Re: [Announce] Rockpool - Pebble daemon for Sailfish

Now QtWebSockets is in the Sailfish repos. You should remove any other version and repo and use that one. Instruction are on the OpenRepos page for Rockpool.

Re: [Announce] Rockpool - Pebble daemon for Sailfish

That's going to need a new method adding to Rockpool. I had a chat with ruff about it, and it seemed to be a good idea to expose the same methods as the Pebble app Javascript API to DBus so that...

Re: [Announce] Rockpool - Pebble daemon for Sailfish

Sorry to drive you further towards madness, but that command launches the media app for me (with my watch address instead of yours of course).

Re: [Announce] Rockpool - Pebble daemon for Sailfish

Should be calling 'org.rockwork.Pebble.LaunchApp' - you left the Pebble out.

Re: [Announce] Rockpool - Pebble daemon for Sailfish

Are you pairing the LE device? That won't work - wait awhile and the watch should present a non-LE device that you can pair will instead.

Re: [Announce] Rockpool - Pebble daemon for Sailfish

A lot of the core would be very reusable - there's lots there based on Javier's watchfish library to gather PIM and notification information from Sailfish, and the Music player info too. All the...

Re: [Announce] Rockpool - Pebble daemon for Sailfish

That's a shock - never seen that before! Looks like there are two hidden apps on the watch that only appear when you launch them. Might try to do that...

As for sending data to them, that would...

Re: [Announce] Rockpool - Pebble daemon for Sailfish

Porting stuff from gadgetbridge would be great - last time I looked they'd reverse engineered Pebble's BTLE protocol for the Pebble 2. But it's all Java so would be a lot of work...

Re: [Announce] Rockpool - Pebble daemon for Sailfish

What sort of data would you need to send? Just notifications, or timeline pins, or sending data to a watch app?

Re: [Announce] Rockpool - Pebble daemon for Sailfish

Hi,

The Pebble JS stuff is supposed to be sandboxed, so there's very little communication possible between that and other apps possible right now. You can do anything that the Rockpool application...

Re: [WIP] CuteSpotify for Sailfish

Any chance of a rebuild on 2.1.0.9? It seems that CuteSpot somehow doesn't produce any audio, and the volume controls change the ringtone volume. I'd have a go myself but I can't find the libspotify...

Re: 2.1.0/Iijoki EA

That's what Early Access is for - it's a beta release for users who want to help track those last remaining issues down, and to give app developers chance to adjust their apps. 2.1 is a big one - the...

Re: 2.1.0/Iijoki EA

I noticed this. The volume control adjusts ringtone volume too, not main volume, which I think means that the system doesn't recognize that CuteSpot is a music player. I thought it might just need a...

Re: [Announce] Rockpool - Pebble daemon for Sailfish

As far as I know they still didn't release any documentation for the health data coming back from the watch, so I don't think so. Maybe some proper info will come out of the rebble.io project.

Re: [Announce] Rockpool - Pebble daemon for Sailfish

Re: [Announce] Rockpool - Pebble daemon for Sailfish

Re: [Announce] Rockpool - Pebble daemon for Sailfish

Not for a good while, if at all. Pebble 2 watches only support Bluetooth LE (low energy) connections, which works very differently. The LE functionality has been there since the first Pebble watches,...
