Re: New book on Nokia's post0iPhone implosion

You are implying no ecosystem = no future. But if that'd be true, how comes android made it? And iOS? They didnt happen to have an ecosystem when they started as well. Nokia had Ovi Store, at the...

Re: New book on Nokia's post0iPhone implosion

A PITA is not the right word. It was more like chewing through a turd each time you had to rebuild. And that happened _every_ _single_ _time_

PS : In all honesty, and with all the respect for...

Re: New book on Nokia's post0iPhone implosion

Im sorry but as a SFOS developer, I find this offensive to say the least.

Re: Sailfish 3.0.0.5 Lemmenjoki EA

Have it, and must say the first impressions are good!
The top menu raised a bit of a "wtf???" moment, but then come using it, it turns out to be quite handy (as well as convenient as you can access...

Re: Google Services Cost 40 Dollars Per Phone

In all honesty, if I get a *working* OS for 39.99, which is *not* cluttered, offers basic functionality, and can keep things safe, I'd jump ship from android

The thing I don't get is, why does...

Re: Russian Open Mobile development based on SFOS

Not really. The 84% is 4/5 of the Jolla Oy; the 61% refers to these, *not* to the full 100% (5/5) of Jolla Oy. Anyways, it is correct that the main stakeholder is also the one which decides the...

Dave, do your math.
61% of 84% of 100% is less than 50%. itd be interestibg to know who

Re: Ok, I've already decided. I want to buy a Jolla 1. Does anyone sell one?

Why a Jolla 1? It's terribly outdated hw.
Get a Sony XPeria X and a SFOSX license instead (other people outside of the expected selling area have been able to activate them).

Re: Could steam stream work on N900?

Hmm DSP overclocking might be necessary for 720p. That sounds like it's pushing the boundaries on h.264.

Yes, I looks like this is openmax. But there's dsp libraries, perhaps something can be...

Re: Could steam stream work on N900?
