Why does the N900 update email and repositories ok through some wifi routers and not others.
At home my device doesn't update repositories properly and i don't get new email when it's connected to...

I think you're wrong there, the N9 was a nice effort but it was never going to challenge Apple or Samsung.
The only device which could save Nokia right now would be a top of the line (specs)...

Might be an issue with your version of firmware. I recently loaded the UK firmware to my phone and it wouldn't read the sim.
I downloaded the american firmware and it now works a treat.
