I strongly doubt that it would be possible over IP (FoIP? Fax over IP?) since VoIP calls are compressed.
AFAIK, GSM communications are lossy too, so not suitable for faxing.

mind that the "*" will copy only non-hidden files (those not beginning with ".")
so either check for them or instead use
cp -r /usr/share/icons /home/user/MyDocs
this will copy the entire folder

I'm trying to run some dbus-send commands as an unprivileged user (which I called "myremote"), but none of them work.
the same commands, if issued by "root" or "user", work perfectly.

i'm pretty sure it can be done from the command line with the dbus interface. you can setup a script to sleep for a certain time and then send an sms, or set up a crontab, or whatever.

msn is working on and off (mostly off) (at least on *my* n900).
zoutube and tunewiki can't play music.

I seem to have tracked down the problem to python-hildon. I removed/purged everything till there and then reinstalled and I don't have that error any more when running python or installing packages....
