Why do people think resistive touchscreen = crappy? N900 screen is far from crappy, even better than some capacitive I've seen. It's pressure sensitive and more accurate than any capacitive screen....

There is page on wiki (http://wiki.maemo.org/Updating_the_firmware#Updating_or_re-flashing_the_firmware_using_the_Flasher) for reflashing. I think, your device just doesn't have kernel to boot with....

Did you uninstall it via app manager? If so, then, i'm afraid, you need to reflash. There should be "Deinstall Kernel-Power" in your program list, use it next time to delete power kernel.

Then i'd recommend use fuser /dev/video0 to see what's locking it, but it seems fuser doesn't work at all. You can try this instead:
lsof | grep "video"
or
lsof | grep "camera"

Most of my friends didn't even know about N900, even some geeky ones. They all knew about N97, though. That's what i call bad marketing ;) .

Personally, i like circles system much more than simple friends.
A bit more integration with other Google services such as calendar or YouTube would be nice, though.
