I had a long talk with the guys at Gitex, and the underlying chipset isnít in mainline. But itís a WIP. Iíll catch up with them next week and try to get some more details.

It looks like for other Linux (and android), wpa_supplicant can be changed to fix this bug, but it looks like something else does...

I think nfc support is already here, there are simply no applications using it right now.

At least /dev/pn54x is already there, libnfc with qt bindings is availible and nfc is no longer listed in...

Do you have any concrete things in mind where using Systemd would be an issue ?

Systemd (and journal) has been used by Mer/Sailfish OS from day one and I really can't remember any Systemd specific...

Yeah, that sounds like a much better base for me as well (bigger community, know track record, the actual origin of Freemantle, etc.). Also the Librem guys apparently want to choose Debian as well.

At least in the Xperia X there is kernel 3.10.84 (accidentally the same kernel series as in RHEL 7 :) ).
