sometimes my phone plays these videos fine with stock mp (latest libgstdsp and hd codecs) and othertimes don't (referring to h264) but kmplayer and mplayer...always play

It looks like ur disc has got some erors..u can try this..
sudo gainroot
umount /home/user/MyDocs
fsck -a /home/user/MyDocs

reboot and then try deleting..

i am on dsp profile with 250-805 range..sr_vdd1 and sr_vdd2 both are enabled...everything's working good but sometimes when i check in xterm (kernel-config show), the minimum freq has gone...

have you enabled extras-devel repository..? if yes then just reinstall by using these commands in x-terminal as root..

sudo gainroot
apt-get install --reinstall kernel-power kernel-power-modules...

i think latest kernel-power with sr_vdd1 enabled does not depend upon the values you have set in the profile u are using...sr calculates its own values and saves it and then uses the previously...

r u using latest kenel power 49...? if yes then this problem should not occur afaik..u can try reinstalling kernel-power49, kp modules and kp flasher..

firsly u must install kernel power 49..there's a conflict b'coz u r tying to install bootimage of kp49 but kp49 is not installed instead u have kp48

have you installed the new kernel-power-settings...?

it seems as if you are using old kp settings..if you are using profile of ur choice.. check if 700 and 750 are deleted and in their place u...

u can either refocus the video by soft pressing camera key or use the keyboard ..... (shift+) G or F..during recording..

most of the youtube videos are encoded in high profile cabac format i.e hp h264 in mp4 container...n900's dsp is not enough powerful to decode them (it can only decode baseline profile h264...

mine is 2204 but same problem had occured..
but as freemangordon told me to lower dsp frequencies and everything is working good...recording as well as playback...
i have these...
