Re: internet doesnt work in 3G mode, only in 3.5G. help?

Really? Indeed, I've also seen that the N95 8GB that is correctly working in the big city cannot connect to the 3.5G network in the village where my N900 works perfectly (the N95 it falls back to...

Re: internet doesnt work in 3G mode, only in 3.5G. help?

Re: internet doesnt work in 3G mode, only in 3.5G. help?

Thanks a lot for your answer. The workaround works well, the phone keeps in 3.5G mode if there is a ping working in the background. However, as I have a limited data plan, I have changed the command...

Re: internet doesnt work in 3G mode, only in 3.5G. help?

I agree, I also don't see any reason for this behavior and I am a bit surprised with my old good N900. But my girlfriend's Nokia 5800 does not have this problem and it is always connected. I do not...

Re: internet doesnt work in 3G mode, only in 3.5G. help?

Thanks. Anyway I don't care if my phone shows 3G or 3.5G. I only want to have a stable connection, and it seems that in big cities (where 2G,3G 3.5G nodes co-exist) the intenet connection freezes...

Re: rootfs space slowly decreasing

I think I have found the problem. Comparing two snapshots of my rootfs partition made with backupmenu, I found the growing file: the history of the console shell (for root access user) The file is...

@reinob

I remember that I had one unexpected reboot of my N900 (maybe because a high overclocking of the DSP that I have already changed). Do you know if a reboot could cause that some temp files...

Re: rootfs space slowly decreasing

You are right, reinob.

Using your command, many modified files appear in system
directories, and between them many %gconf.xml. I have changed your command to also filter them by size:

find...

Re: rootfs space slowly decreasing

I do not have any app installed from Extras-devel. Indeed, I have read many of the threads (not all of them) and I found no response to my question.

rootfs space slowly decreasing

After reflashing my N900 and installing all the desired apps, I had about 73 MiB of space in the rootfs filesystem. About two months have passed and my rootfs space is slowly decreasing everyday,...

Re: maemo-optify-boottime.log growing every boot

Well, the issue is not big, one can survive with it. Even the best option is uninstalling the full package as you said. However, I liked to learn why it was happening.

Indeed, the dfree() function...

Re: maemo-optify-boottime.log growing every boot

Although the updated code for dfree works in the commandline and shows the space available (25450 MiB for me), it shows a different value when executed from inside a script. I have made a...
