Re: Mail for Exchange (MfE). Blame me here, pls

I recently started seeing this problem. After spending more time investigating than I care to admit I found a simple workaround (also posted to the bug report). If you set an ipv4 address for your...

Re: Oh no more help needed! :(

You have posted the wrong code. That's a lower case k second from the end.

With the correct code John the ripper finds your unlock code very quickly. I won't steal your success by telling you the...

Re: Oh no more help needed! :(

I've just checked - if you set a 9 or 10 digit lock code then the final 1 or 2 digits are just ignored, so it should be a traditional 0-8 digit DES hash.

Can you post a screenshot of the output...

Re: Oh no more help needed! :(

To use it with John the Ripper I think it does.

John the ripper seems to only work with codes up to 8 digits long (at least by default), while the N900 seems to allow up to 10 digits.
Perhaps you...

Re: Oh no more help needed! :(

Hi B3N,

Are you sure that the code you gave in your post above (root:VJnNfHYTGTJKU:) is correct? It doesn't seem to be valid.

Re: N900 PPTP VPN with MPPE

I'm not sure, but from the error message it looks like you've uncommented something you shouldn't have in the pptpsetup script near line 234. I haven't tried setting this up since PR1.3 so I can't...

Re: Meanwhile in battery news: New Lithium Batteries Could Last 10 Times Longer

The theoretical efficiency limit for a single junction cell is 31%. The really cool stuff at the moment can do over 40%, and the theoretical limiting efficiency for any solar cell is over 80%. Search...

Re: How did I break ssh?

Try ssh -vvv to get very (very..) verbose output. Might help you figure out what's going wrong.

Re: N900 PPTP VPN with MPPE

I think that the kernel modules are already present in the power kernel (you probably still need to insmod them).

I'm not going to have time to test this out until after Christmas though.

Re: GameGripper - A Review.

I received mine this morning.

First the bad news:

As a few others have reported it's just a mm or so too narrow - I might try to shave a bit off one side so it fits a bit better.

I think...

Re: Interval training App

This is not the most user-friendly of suggestions, but for something simple like this you could just write a small shell script, e.g.

#!/bin/sh

while [ 1 ]
do
sleep 50
#your notification...

Re: Citation Manager (End Note, Procite, Reference Manager)

I use Mendeley (http://www.mendeley.com/).

The desktop version is closed source, so no chance of a port, but you also get a free online account that you can manage your references from. I haven't...

Re: Every reboot sends a text to 86400

Try (as user) to create it in /home/user.

Re: PSX4All Maemo Edition

I just checked using the binary on page 100. It has the same problem I'm afraid.

pcsx-m does not have the problem in case that's of any help to anyone. You need the sub so infrequently that it's...

Re: Best playable RPG/Adventure game for N900

Re: PDF-Reader no longer able to display mathematical symbols in PR 1.2

I think (not sure) that if you instead modify /etc/gnome/defaults.list there is no need to reboot (or update-mime-database).
