Re: message exchange with Java
Your best bet would be to install Easy Debian Turbo-Charged Edition.
I believe Java works well in that environment, but is really slow.

Re: Undo Skip Update
Yep. When there are updates available, you get an option to update each application individually or Update All. There's also a Skip Update for each application.

Re: Undo Skip Update
I did one update to Pushit yesterday, but I'm sure it wasn't what I skipped.
Tried doing Update in Application Manager. Nothing shows.
What does Skip Update do? Does it skip the specific version or...

Undo Skip Update
There were a few updates that were available and I didn't have time to process them. I clicked on Skip Update.
Now I don't remember what applications they were, and I'm not reminded to update. How...

Re: Car holder comes in strandard?
It's kind of a tight fit, but works well.
The holder can handle the n810 with the keyboard exposed.
Great deal. Well worth $8.95.
I believe this...

Re: Wanting to buy a nokia N810
To clarify what Duncan is saying, using Maemo Mapper requires planning.
One needs an Internet Connection to download maps and routes.
You can store these routes and load them when necessary.
You...

Re: A few question on N810 before buying one
miniSD tends to be expensive.
microSD with an adapter is the way to go. (Can also be used on other devices.)
Beware: some brands are problematic. I have a 4GB Kingston microSD and it works well.

Re: A few question on N810 before buying one
The n810 does many things adequately. It's greatest strength is it's flexibility, openness and connectivity. This is also it's biggest weakness, because it does not do one thing particularly well....

Re: Set wifi on auto search
Though there may be WiFi hotspots available, they may not be public or open.
I don't think you're going to be successful in this endeavor, unless you frequent the same hotspots repeatedly.
In the...

In this (http://www.internettablettalk.com/forums/showpost.php?p=270204&postcount=9) post, gnuite says that Winmapper (http://ioanghip.googlepages.com/winmapper.htm) should work now.

Re: Not autoconnecting to wlan anymore
I have a similar problem with my n810.
My SSID is hidden and every so often, when I switch on my n810, it won't connect.
I've had to unplug my router and plug it back in, then it would auto connect.

Re: Why all these different Map programs?
If you can get Navit to work (I couldn't), that would be your best bet.
MM can store routes. So if you know you need to travel from PointA to PointB at some time in the future, you can save this...
