Cool port applications to n900 (maemo5)

everyday I see new known application has been port to maemo5 and work very good .
I need to know how can I add some application that did not ported to maemo5 .
like nano I want know how they ported...

after reflash my phone I turn it on but I can't see in the screen just black color and orange and no word ..
the words being square just .

problem with qemu ?

when I tried to install windows xp (micro xp 100mb )
I made a img via qemu-img , but when I use "qemu -hda x.img --cdrom microxp.iso"
it did not work
