I bought my N900 because I was under the impression the closest thing out there to a real open-source phone. Not from any misguided GNU-style ideas about "Freedom", but from first-hand experience...

My thoughts exactly. The N900 really should've shipped with at least 512MB of RAM - mine gets horribly slow if I have media player (music), Mappero, Witter and a web browser open at the same time....

I can use the phone app on the N900 just fine one-handed, and I've seen plenty of people using iPhones one-handed. Web browsing in portrait mode works pretty well one-handed as well, if you're lucky...

I don't care about sketch apps, and I can't think of anything else where you'd actually want a stylus.
I don't want to have to use a stylus; I want to be able to use my phone just with my fingers...

It's not very encouraging that 9476 is "RESOLVED WONTFIX" though :( It seems that Nokia never intended MMS to work...

On Virgin Australia. I couldn't get it to work in havoc mode, but rude mode seems to work. It's very slow to download or send messages though, but that might be the network.
It's pretty annoying...
