I'm experiencing a bug in the Fremantle Media Player, but couldn't find something reporting the same behaviour neither here in talk nor in the bugzilla. I'm starting this thread to confirm the bug...

Are you using the load-applet? It lagged my N900 badly when I used it... you could try to uninstall it.

Go to Settings->My accounts and you'll be able to add your Skype account. Once you added your account, your contacts will be integrated in the phone/contacts applications.
