Re: [Announce] Mapsi - a map application for FIN, SWE, NO
Just tried the version v3.6.0 on N9.
Here's some initial comments:
1) Map loading seems to be laggy and zooming still seems jumpy.
2) GPS location seems to wonder around in quite a wide range...

Did you remember to rename the file (drop the ".txt" postfix from the name)?

Re: [Request] Geocaching for N9
I think (but sure lets check it) he disabled it since when the cache filled up in symbian there was some unexpected results. Some symbian phones do not have much disk space in them. And if/when the...

Re: [Request] Geocaching for N9
Thanks for the new release. Just tried mapping with OSM again and noticed that the caching is still disabled even though it is a must IMHO. Fetching the map tiles every time again and again is a...

Re: [Request] Geocaching for N9
The reason why some ppl have been wondering that the OSM maps look old is that the OSM plugin actually seems to use cloudmade maps instead of OSM.
The OSM plugin currently fetches tiles from:...

Re: [Announce] Mapsi - a map application for Finns

Re: [Request] Geocaching for N9
I just tried the CacheMe Meego port, and there is some potential for sure :)
Some initial comments:
1) Supporting also portrait mode is a MUST. It feels really cumbersome to cache in landscape...

Re: [Request] Geocaching for N9
Nice to see the N9 start to bloom also from geocacher's view :D
I'll have to try out the CacheMe N9 port and the new N9 AGTL before we decide on whether there is any need for additional geocaching...

Re: [Request] Geocaching for N9
I'm still open for the idea of using at least parts of the CacheMe QML port if it just is possible license-wise. I invited Till to join our discussion. I surely hope he'll clarify things for us here...

Re: [Request] Geocaching for N9
Yes, we are writing more or less from scratch. We have a base-project that we did with plain-old Qt (read: without QML), and we are utilizing that as a base for some parts. But now that we know how...

Re: [Request] Geocaching for N9
There's a project that's just ramping up a geocaching application development (for N9). There's not much to show yet, but stay tuned for more information.
Looks like the project is going to be...
