Re: No changelog files in Maemo?

Call be arrogant or ignorant, but the internal changelogs are way too heavy to be of any particular use: For instance the internal Debian changelog of libosso-abook right now weights 103 kByte and...

Re: SIO2 Engine 3D Engine on the N900

"Performance is not as good as on the iPhone, I blame the driver" - Hmm. How about blaming the significantly higher screen resolution of the N900? ;-)

Re: How N900 such powerful device without Chinese Input and language support?

Oh, you greatly overestimate the importance of China when it comes to luxary goods like smart phones. Let's play some numbers.

Re: How N900 such powerful device without Chinese Input and language support?

One of the reasons is, that supporting asian languages proper isn't exactly trivial: For instance a Contacts application would have to know how names in non-latin scripts are pronounced to sort them...

Re: Facebook Contacts plugin (not Hermes or Pidgin) for N900

Still a big problem is, that Facebook gives only access to rudimentary information via...

Re: Contact Importing

Yes, known problem. We have modified the dialog to allow import of multiple contacts. The feature should be available with the next but one update - if our other bugfixes are good enough to pass...

Re: Problems after upgrading to libqt4-maemo5-dev

The instructions to remove Qt 4.5 seem odd to me:

fakeroot apt-get remove libqt4*

To me it seems Qt 4.5 and experimental Qt 4.6 are parallel installable.
I'll check with Michael why he...

Re: package request: eds-tools

Indeed, makes sense to not polute the program manager with that package. Just have to remember telling people to leave root shell after running apt-get.

Re: package request: eds-tools

Awesome!

For whatever reason the package doesn't show up in the program manager, but manual installation from terminal ("apt-get install eds-tools") worked.

Thanks alot!

Red face package request: eds-tools

Hi,

Does someone have time and motivation to package eds-tools for fremantle-extras? Having this tool would help greatly in debugging addressbook related bugs like MB#5365.

Thank you.
