Re: Phone Camera Competition October 2020: "Autumn Lights and Motion"

Would be #7: Bundyo for me. While I like Fellfrosh's and Maemish's photos just as much, Bundyo hit me right in nostalgia for lakes of my youth. And nostalgia is an autumny feeling, isn't it?

Re: Phone Camera Competition October 2020: "Autumn Lights and Motion"

Re: PinePhone $149 Linux smartphone could support Ubuntu, Sailfish, Maemo, LuneOS and more

I have no P64 devices (yet), but I eagerly follow the news; I remember there were trackpad firmware updates recently and I've seen reports of great improvement. Is your opinion pre- or post-update?

Re: Pure Maps

Is there a possibility/plan/whatever to use semi-transparent overlays? There are some map sources that show only one kind of information -- hillshade, light pollution, traffic; such maps are much...

Re: Are you Ready? F(x)tec Pro 1 HW Keyboard Phone

For some reason G insists on showing me reviews in my language only, so maybe it's biased, but... the 1-star ones are all about "no public transit", "could not lend ski", "no place to buy beer, fail"...

Re: Pure Maps

I'd prefer map rotated according to where I'm going, not where I happen to look at the moment.

Maybe make the compass button tri-state? North, movement, device orientation?

Re: Need something from Poland

eMag is just a selling platform -- you can try to contact the seller directly (unfortunately, their website seems dead; I've found an email contact sklep@trzmiel.com.pl) or thru another platform; I...

Re: Sailfish OS Roadmap

When my brother-in-law was running small ISP, we routinely checked TTL of packets and applied fingerprinting when in doubt. The question is, does the ISP even bother to check.

(and there was this...

Re: Pure Maps

There was a small change for those wanting to add own map sources (not documented as for now): there's a new line needed in definition, assigning the source to profile:

"profiles": ["mixed",...

Yes. For non-native, are there other ambiguous uses (not counting San Francisco, of course)?

Re: Sailfish OS (officially) on Sony Xperia devices

Sony is well known for heavy postprocessing (just search for "star eater"). Without it, as it's probably patented, DRMed and what else, reduced resolution seems the simplest method to curb noise.

Re: WTS Palm Pre 2

Unfortunately, the only old Palm/HP HW that runs LuneOS is Touchpad. Phones are not supported nor there is any intent to do it -- for what I know, due to hardware constraints.

Re: WTS Palm Pre 2
