I don't think this will be so easy... Basically only iOS and Android protocols are left. Maybe with Android it could work but I can imagine that any functionalities have to be reprogrammed on SFOS...

Yeah would be nice but I guess maintaining doesn't make sense since the protocol it relying on is for S40 phones and will be blocked by whatsapp by the end of this year

This is what I also had and when I tried to re-register I got the error message "old version" so I think we need a protocol update or that's the end of native whatsapp support

I got today an error message "old version" and can't login anymore with whatsup.
So I guess this is the end then for our native support? The S40 supports ends this year so I guess we have to move...

For me it still works quite normal only difference to before is that some contacts can write messages that I never receive.
I guess that the encryption effect...
If only another service would be...

Thanks for the tips. I tried and could feel that it became a bit better, but that was not the root of my problems. I found out that my mail-app was causing this behaviour. I deleted my main account...

Strange behaviour in the last days with Whatsup:
Do you also have the effect that the app gets constantly killed by the memory management?
For me the app gets restarted constantly when I click it...

So now that soon our S40 protocol support dies what can we do?

i would switch from Whatsapp immediately but if i'm the only one in the other chat programs it's useless.

Now it works again as usual...
very strange...

The contact list is now sorted from A till Z as it should be but In didn't restart the app at all in between.
Well my problem is "solved" somehow...

yes I have 1.1.9.28 running with the older Whatsup 1.9 there was also no problem.
I also turned off the "Lauch Whatsup at startup" Option as mentioned before and several times...

Hmm strange... doesn't work for me..
I disconnected and restarted the app but the list is still empty.
Should I reboot the phone? maybe it's a bug in the contacts app itsself?

I just installed the 2.2 version but I cannot see my contacts anymore.
My contacts list is always empty even after synchronization.

I also have now the problem that I don't receive messages.
All people to whom I open a new chat get my messages I can see their status like ...is writing a message... but I never receive something....
