Re: Nokia Lumina 710 & 800

Re: Meltemi - Lightweight Linux based os from Nokia

I have same kind of hunch but that would mean competing with WP7?

Re: Meltemi - Lightweight Linux based os from Nokia

I think we'll have to see untill 2Q 2012 if WP7 is a fail or a win. My bet is going day by day towards win. All the major tech blogs gave Mango really good reviews. Mindshare is really soon in the...

Re: Meltemi - Lightweight Linux based os from Nokia

True that. They just need to freaking communicate the future of Qt lot better! Developers have no clear idea of the future of Qt.

Idiotic to keep Qt's future in secrecy.

Re: How good is the N9's cellular reception compared to others?

Well I would definitely use lots of GSM-mode if it's that fast. Saves lots of battery.

Oh my, Nokia stocks might be quite a bit up tomorrow. Michael Gartenberg is giving quite good words about N9 on twitter:

Seems like Nokia finally made it...

Re: N9 [Shipping]: It's finally here [for some]!

This exactly what I'm trying to tell. Thank YOU Lindegaard! :)

I'm eager to see test results compared to iphone4s.

Re: N9 [Shipping]: It's finally here [for some]!

Please stop this bs. HSPA+ is certainly not 4G. It is 3G technology. Even LTE is actually more of a 3G tech.

Here is a quote for you from Wikipedia:

And yes so you can theoretically get...

Re: N9 [Shipping]: It's finally here [for some]!

Then tell me how much do you get then with your HSPA+ equipment? Another point I have to ask is how much you are paying for your full speed HSPA+ contract?

Actually I think there is really no...

Re: N9 [Shipping]: It's finally here [for some]!

Bottleneck is the network. Networks with HSPA+ still have too small bandwidth to get to those max speeds.

This year for example here in Finland the records have been 10Mbit/s in HSPA+ networks and...

Re: N9 [Shipping]: It's finally here [for some]!

You still did not answer my question.

What I'm trying to tell you is that you won't benefit from HSPA+ speeds because 99 % of times you are not even getting HSPA speeds.

Re: N9 [Shipping]: It's finally here [for some]!

If you insist on arguing that t-mobile has a small network in the US and is not using 1700 band then be my guest. I wont go with you to this sad ad hominem pissing contest.

Re: N9 [Shipping]: It's finally here [for some]!

It is not about caps. Tell me how many times you get the max speed of your network and your phone in 3.5G?

T-mobile for example uses 1700... Is it really rare?
