I get exactly the same errors with the bootmenu entry posted by plipp.
My card is a 8GB class 10 from samsung, I don't think it's an issue with a bad card if we all got the same errors.
Maybe...

Do you have the kernel-power packages (at least kernel-power-modules) installed on your device?
Even if you extracted pali's kernel image to /boot the kernel still needs the modules in...

Network Connection with ConIc (C/C++)
Hello,
I'm trying to write a little C++ app for my N900. This app needs an internet connection to work.
I tried some stuff already with libconic, and the connection gets started without problems....

When I use your kernel images from the first post everything works fine, maybe I made a mistake before.
And would it be possible to use another dir for the config files?

You don't need to make an extra entry. If you boot with you keyboard open backupmenu will be loaded automatically after u-boot startet the kernel (and it dosen't matter if it's the stock or the power...

Would it be possible to create a 'u-boot-power-flasher' package with the newest kernel-power ?
For some reason the u-boot on my phone...

So my image was build correctly and the problem is in the code, thats good to know since it was my first time building uboot myself.
I would try to help, but my knowledge on this stuff is limited ;)...

How do I get the error messages?
The only thing the screen shows are graphical artifacts, and only in the bootmenu. If I drop into the uboot console or boot with the screen closed the display is...

I tried to build it but when I boot with keyboard open there are some graphical errors instead of the bootmenu ...

I can confirm this too, after changing back from uboot (u-boot+kp49.bin) to the normal kernel-power from the repo my battery lasts considerably longer.
