Re: One Click Voicemail access icon

A trick with this would be getting users to enter their voicemail number as a proper international dialing code so they can still pick up voice mail when travelling internationally.

Re: How do you create folders in the media player?

ls -1 *.ogg *.mp3 *.flac > dir_names.m3u would probably be more successful.

This would not put the tracks in proper order by album, unless you happened to be particularly lucky with filenames....

Re: Sell your N900 and buy an Android phone!

Hey! None of that talk here! We're civilized folk round here. If I wanted that sort of talk, I'd be thinking about a Freebirds Burrito followed by beer at Duddley's... And coffee the next morning at...

Re: how to use maps offline on n900?

Mapper should be usable offline. I say "should" because I've not had as much luck using it offline as I did with Maemo Mapper, its
precessor on the N810.

Re: N900 port forwarding for eMail - when port 25 blocked by ISP ?

Do they also block the SSL or TLS encrypted ports for SMTP? You may be able to configure your email server to accept thos connections (if it doesn't already) and then have the N900 connect there.

Re: Any way to close webpages in the pr1.2 portrait mode?

That will close *all* the web browser windows, rather than just the one wanted to close.

Re: Half-year review of Stskeeps's work as distmaster

Agreed on both points.

As an example, the contents of the post on the port to the OMAP2 http://omappedia.org/wiki/Maemo_Getting_Started is good, with interesting work behind it. It would be...

Re: Dbus & phone profile question...

After a bit of poking around, it appears that the profiled is reading the data in /etc/profiled, but the UI aspect around the power button is missing.

I copied /etc/profiled/90.nokia.ini to...

I am wondering what happens if I add a...

I am still getting errors of "video has been removed" when I am trying to download. I am at version 1.2.3, and I am not logging into YouTube -- in case that makes a difference.

Re: N900. After 5 month it's a total delusion

It's being generous. You could translate this as "You're being blindingly ____, and I am about to ignore you forever. Are you smart enough to learn from this and apologize?"

Should I have read...

Re: N900 worst phone i ever had !

If that's the case, then they should have no issue retaining it for use in their internal training programs and sending you a brand new device.

Do so. This is clearly a defective device,...

Re: CITRIX ( Bloomberg ) is working natively on n900!
