Maemo 5 on this?

I think Maemo 5 on one of these OQO devices would be simply awesome.:D
Shame about the price of the hardware though.

Re: What Applications would you like to see on Sailfish Devices?

Anyone suggested a calendar app based on GPECalendar on N900.
I always relied on that for appointments, to-dos and events management.

Preferably a native Sailfish app.

Re: System sounds very low

Have you tried this latest one at all Vistaus?

And is this typed straight into terminal (with no other root access commands needed)?

Sorry Sailfish terminal seems to be a different animal to...

Re: System sounds very low

That Quasar MX Pro mentioned in the discussion that Vistaus links to could also be worth a try, but does that work for ringtones or just through the media player?

Re: Sailfishto be official Mobile OS

I think it's excellent news.
It finally gives Jolla the market penetration they need. They may not ship Jolla branded handsets, but what they will ship will be Sailfish based devices, just like Sony...

Re: System sounds very low

Mine did the other day. Which is why I suspected that is what happened. I had to re-enter the contacts into my list afterwards.
Tried to replicate it just now but the contacts have stayed put....

Re: Sailfish 2.0 Upgrade 14 Discussions

Hoping for some major changes in SF2.0. Even at this stage I can see there's still a lot to do to make Sailfish appeal to a mass market.

Re: System sounds very low

Solved the problem of not being able to clear your call history. You can't. :(
Someone on Jolla Users asked the same question over there, he's got a year's worth of calls in his history. There's a...

Re: System sounds very low

Nope. Everything is set up OK in my ambiances (Full volume for ringtones and system sounds.)
I don't think there's anything wrong with the speaker because videos and music play pretty loud.

System sounds very low

Is there any way of increasing the loudness of system sounds and alert tones?
I've got mine maxed out in settings, but I'm still finding them very quiet.
Thankees in advance.

Äteritsiputeritsipuolilautatsijänkä :p

OS 2 does look nice.
I was wondering if they would enable the little icons in the thumbnails rather than having a left/right drag to activate them.

Good...

Re: Sailfish Browsers

I've tried Sailfish default browser and like many, I find it a little slow and quirky.
Firefox fared a little better, but has recently started causing some weird behaviour. It will freeze...

Re: So, I've got me a Jolla Phone. Now what?

Thanks guys.
I'll have a look out for these in future.
It's been a while getting my hands on a Jolla. I've been bugging all the sales reps in the network outlets, trying to get them interested, but...

Re: Case for Jolla

I was playing around with the case today and hit on an idea.
How difficult would it be to mod one of these cases so that when you slide the phone to expose the camera, the camera actually activates....

Re: [WIP] LLs Video Player

Here's a case that I picked up for my Jolla.

So, I've got me a Jolla Phone. Now what?

Just kidding.:p
I'm getting on quite well with it. Still got the N900 too, I'll never get rid of that one, it's been too much fun.

Got a few Android apps installed, but still trying to find a...

Re: [ANNOUNCE] Alpha release of Open Media Player

Just being able to resize the video to full screen has been enough for me to use OMP more than the stock video player.

And I can +1 about the screenshots. Even with Ctrl+Shift+P they show up black...

Re: Upcoming Nokia Flagship?

First off. I thought Windows and Pureview were incompatible. (Nokia's statement, not mine). So they've probably created another tech that's compatible with Windows and scrapped the 808 so they could...

Re: [Announce] fMobi - Facebook mobile client

There's been no feedback to my posts on his Facebook page either.
I had to do a reflash at one time, so lost my fMobi. Can't get back to Ovi/Nokia Store to re-install.
Part of the issues are...

Re: My N900 has started switching off on its own

Was it brand new from day 1 or was it a second hand purchase?
Are you running CSSU? Still running stock kernal?
Does it stay live while it's connected via USB? (In case a reflash is needed).
