Re: SFOS on F(x)tec Proš: progress, issues, tricks, free chat

Thank you kindly.

I am in agreement that indeed, staying on 3.3 is the better course of action for now. Had to reinstall again, but I'd rather a stable system with usable microSD storage.

Re: SFOS on F(x)tec Proš: progress, issues, tricks, free chat

Reinstalled 3.3.0.16 using the image from the F(x)tec forums, and then upgraded it to 3.4.0.24 using the command line

ssu release 3.4.0.24
version --dup

The upgrade seems to have worked.

Re: SFOS on F(x)tec Proš: progress, issues, tricks, free chat

Stupidly tried to update on reasonably functional 3.3.0.16 Pro1 using:

pkcon refresh
pkcon update

Alright, cool, got some updates. But I think it did not work correctly.

Went to upgrade to...

Re: SFOS on F(x)tec Proš: progress, issues, tricks, free chat

The meaning was that it was not possible to replicate the success of not having this problem, and that this problem still plagues my Pro1 to this day.

The problem is definately a known one, that...

Re: SFOS on F(x)tec Proš: progress, issues, tricks, free chat

Had that issue when initially trying to flash SFOS onto the F(x)tec Pro1. Nothing to do but try multiple times and with different cables. Ended up working with a cable going from a USB-C port to a...

Re: SFOS on F(x)tec Proš: progress, issues, tricks, free chat

With the latest zypper ref, pkcon ref, and version --dup, the issue with the multiple partitions showing up and the SDcard not being accessable persist.

Is there a way to manually fix that via the...

Re: SFOS on F(x)tec Proš: progress, issues, tricks, free chat

Did version --dup yesterday hoping it would fix a few other issues and the problem of a lot of partitions showing in the storage and the SD card nowhere to be found is back.

Other issues are:

Re: SFOS on F(x)tec Proš: progress, issues, tricks, free chat

Are there any suggestions on how to restore a backup taken on another Sailfish device?

While the microSD is found by running fdisk -l, it doesn't show up in "Storage" among the myriad of...

Re: Sailfish OS (officially) on Sony Xperia devices

A good idea. Further investigation is needed though.

A different issue has been encountered: GPS positioning data is somehow still provided to applications (OSM Scout and SimScout) even when in...

Re: Sailfish OS (officially) on Sony Xperia devices

Wifi channels 12, 13, (and 14) don't seem to be picked up by the Xperia X. It is assumed that in Android it doesn't either.

Re: Sailfish OS (officially) on Sony Xperia devices

Re: Sailfish OS (officially) on Sony Xperia devices

Possibly /var/lib/ofono/ril is lacking the line
DefaultDataSim=204853412657279

where "204853412657279" is actually wherever you have in /var/lib/ofono/iccidmap as being equal to your IMSI. For...

Somehow I...
