FYI: the pidgin-sipe 1.11.2 package finally received karma points from 10 testers and has been promoted to the stable repository. So it will be visible to all Maemo5 users now!

FYI: I've added the package "Office Communicator plugin for Conversations and Contacts" for Maemo5. This package adds the profile and icon for SIPE. You can find it in the extras-testing repository....

NOTE: OC contacts are only visible in the address book if you set up a VoIP/IM account with OC, i.e. via telepathy-haze & pidgin-sipe, not when you use pidgin-sipe with Pidgin!

Version 1.11.0 is the first release with Audio & Video support.

But don't get you hope up too early. The current version depends on updates & fixes from other packages as explained in the README...

Both are under consideration but will need some effort

OCS VoIP support: Pidgin 2.6.x added V/V support, so it would be possible. My guess is when V/V support is added to the Windows port it will...

pidgin-sipe is a protocol plugin for Pidgin! It will therefore not show up under Settings/Accounts!

First you have to install pidgin from maemo.org. Start Pidgin and go to the menu "Accounts" -> "Manage Accounts". In the dialog press the "Add..."...

pidgin-sipe is a protocol plugin. Those don't show up in that list.

Please go to "Accounts" -> "Manage Accounts", press the "Add" button and then choose the protocol "Office Communicator".
