You're right danramos. Nokia's could be doing much more to sustain interest for a number of users. We all understand the chatter about Maemo SDKs and extrapolate whatever info we feel is fit based...

1. More pressure on Nokia in a limited potental market

Whatever the symantics, this probably spells more delays for WiMax roll-out while tactics are buttoned up. Nokia was no doubt counting on something happening sooner. Releasing N810WE in the absense...

Of course you're right texrat - but you gotta admit - even HD-DVD had more momentum than WiMax. I'll still buy the friggin thing regardless since I'm a sucker that way :)

Nokia, you're not going to charge more for this right? I mean what if WiMax goes the way of HD-DVD? I can still use BT tether or WiFi ... but then it's as useful as my e61i with 2100mhz HSDPA in...

Oh Nokia, you're such an enigma. Refuse to give me US 1900mhz HSDPA for my phones and then announce this WiMax device before the infrastructure has any momentum whatsoever.

Maemo http Radio Streaming Interruptions won't restart automatically.

Has anyone else noticed that when an MP3 http radio stream is broken, the medial player times out with a dialog asking whether to re-connect?

This often happens while I'm streaming an http MP3...

I have the same problem.

I can use PC soft phone and the SIP Phone on my e61i no problem (on the same network). The troubles are exclusive to N800 and OS2008.

Did I hear that the Eee doesn't have bluetooth? If so, that's a deal-breaker for mobility. That leaves you limited to hot spots for connectivity and otherwise off-line.

Sorry to hear about those troubles. I've had the same problems with libs. fortunately everything I need is installed properly. I wouldn't go back myself since my N800 is almost unusably slow...
