or maybe you work at some place, that some people might find interesting
or maybe you know some people, that some people might find interesting

PS and if and when it happens, you won't even know...

Re: Sailfish OS (officially) on Sony Xperia devices

Is this the kernel source for the XZ2 Compact?
https://github.com/sonyxperiadev/device-sony-tama
https://github.com/sonyxperiadev/device-sony-apollo

Then why it's missing from this list?...

Re: Sailfish OS (officially) on Sony Xperia devices

you can omit this '-i 0x0fce ' part
it is to specify the exact connected phone. doesn't matter when you connect only one phone

Re: Sailfish OS (officially) on Sony Xperia devices

Minutes from last meeting suggest that SFOS3 on X will stay on 3.10 kernel (with possible rebase later), while XA2 will get 4.4.

Re: Sailfish OS (officially) on Sony Xperia devices

It's probably locked, so you won't be able to install SFOS.

Re: Sailfish OS (officially) on Sony Xperia devices

These are not the tests. Give me a linux kernel compilation time on both, then we'll talk (I'm not asking for SPEC :) ).
Also XA2 is 1mm wider than X (and X is already too big) - speaking of N9...

Re: Sailfish OS (officially) on Sony Xperia devices

Because it's not. It's a low-mid range phone, whereas X was almost top of the line.
Specs are almost the same. So I don't understand what clovis86 is so excited about.

Re: 2.2.0 EA / Mouhijoki

Thanks.
Yep, they resize /fimage partition just like I did manually from the start. Originally it was
/dev/mmcblk0p52 1.3G 488M 813M 38% /fimage

They could've made a flag to skip doing...

Re: 2.2.0 EA / Mouhijoki

Could anybody on 2.2 post their df -h output?

Seems like update fails on me because of resized partitions

Re: 2.2.0 EA / Mouhijoki

also, originally it was supposed to be 2.1.5, they later changed their mind

PS Couldn't update my X dual official way: it rebooted, and then said the update couldn't complete. Oh well, seems like...

Re: 2.2.0 EA / Mouhijoki

Since it's officially released, would be nice to have a guide for current F5122 users on how to install 2.2.0 without reflashing.

Re: Sailfish OS (officially) on Sony Xperia devices

The same behavior (tap-and-hold) is already on at least 2.1.3.7, but no timestamp, only phone number and duration.

Re: Sailfish OS (officially) on Sony Xperia devices

Jolla guys should ask Sony to release X/XA2 with a LKM-ready kernel. Maybe somebody here could ask them on next meeting.

Re: Purism Librem Phone

Dual-sim doesn't cost much, but massively expands user base.
Those who don't want to use 2nd sim, may leave it empty.

And unlike big phone makers they can't afford to exclusively produce another...
