Re: *NEW* N900 for sale, UK

Thanks for the offer, but they regularly sell on eBay for over £200 in used condition, (with shipping extra) so the offer would have to be higher than that.

Just to reiterate, it is completely new...

Re: *NEW* N900 for sale, UK

Thanks, but I'm looking for a higher price than this... they do sell on eBay regularly for more than this second hand so I'll have to say no to your offer :)

Re: *NEW* N900 for sale, UK

So, any takers? This is a shameless bump I know but I'm very keen to sell this and quickly too so if anyone is looking - drop me a line :)

Re: *NEW* N900 for sale, UK

I will put it on eBay if someone specifically wants to buy it through eBay, but unless that is the case I'd rather not go through all of the hassle of scammers and non-paying buyers which I've...

Re: *NEW* N900 for sale, UK

For the record, I would be happy to list this on eBay if the buyer pays the extra fees (probably around £5 - I have not checked) so that this sale is protected by their buyer protection etc. :)

Lightbulb *NEW* N900 for sale, UK

I am in the UK and have a new sim-free N900 for sale (photos at the end of this post) with the UK keyboard layout. My N900 recently completely failed and was sent to Nokia for repair and data...

Re: Repurposing old N900s

You could install Android and use it as an Android tablet (dual boot of course) - there is such a vast range of software to choose from in the Android Market (free and paid for) which sadly doesn't...

Re: Zte Blade aka Orange San Francisco

I bought one of these as a development phone and have flashed the Modaco FroYo ROM to it. It was only ever meant to be a bog standard Android device just sufficient for testing on but I have been...

Re: Can you copy data like contacts directly to blank N900?

Yeah, I could do that but I didn't have access to root so I don't have any files from there and a blanket copy is bound to be missing some non-optified data.

In addition to that the system had...

Re: [Annnounce] PR 1.4? Is this real?

It is possible that a package or component on your phone, one of the core files or applications has been damaged or altered - if you have patched anything for example, like with a newer version of...

Question Can you copy data like contacts directly to blank N900?

Following a nasty problem where NITDroid kindly wiped my eMMC, I had to reflash the firmware and eMMC.

Before I did this I was able to take a DDRescue dump of the disk, from which I've been able...

Re: Can the n900's partitions be "undeleted" / recovered? Help!

I'm getting a request to specify the type when I try to mount this - obviously the partition data has been mangled and so this is not providing information to mount.

I've just found testdisk can...

Re: Can the n900's partitions be "undeleted" / recovered? Help!

Thanks for your reply. I'll try to run testdisk on that image then - if it fouls up I can always make another one :) I have a different partition on the linux laptop to save output to so no risk of...

Re: Can the n900's partitions be "undeleted" / recovered? Help!

Right... it is definitely the eMMC that was formatted by nitdroid (grr!) but nitdroid itself was installed to an sd card, the only stuff on the internal storage would have been whatever bootloader...

Can the n900's partitions be "undeleted" / recovered? Help!

I just booted into NITDroid to be greeted with a message saying memory card had been formatted and was safe for removal or something like that.

Upon reboot to Maemo it just started looping...

Re: [SURVEY:] What kind of Applications are you missing at the N900?

A simple decent GUI compression utility to handle the common windows/unix (and maybe Mac) formats - at the very least just be able to open a ZIP file without having to go into a console window and...

Battery reporting low charge level

It fully charges to green light and then Health Check reports the last charge level as something low, ranging...

How can I calibrate my N900's screen colours?

Is there any way to adjust RGB of the screen or possibly even brightness, contrast or gamma?

An application would obviously be handy but I'm fine with poking around in a terminal and editing...

Re: PR 1.3 LITTLE changes with HUGE DISAPPOINT!!!

I didn't say smart phones, I said phones. Nokia to date have released over 420 phones since 1982 when they launched their Mobira Senator and the following range of Mobira phones. Admittedly it is...

I realise pound for...

Re: PR 1.3 LITTLE changes with HUGE DISAPPOINT!!!

It is reasonable because it is such a crucial web technology, one which is well maintained on desktop systems and the N900 is a mobile computer. It is an expensive device and as I already said,...

Re: PR 1.3 LITTLE changes with HUGE DISAPPOINT!!!

I made the REASONABLE assumption that in 6 months one of my N900's major selling points would not start to become obsolete on the MOST popular websites in the world (YouTube, Google Maps etc.) The...
