Re: [Announce] CSSU devel, it may eat your brain

Kudos for for still addressing this after all this time. Too bad it happend in a stage I no longer actively use my N900.

And sorry for the headaches the refactoring caused (also on behalf of...

Re: [M5+6+SFOS] Would you like an app to be written?

Phew, glad you liked it ;)

Making things like this costs a lot of my spare time, but I don't have any financial worries at the moment. As you can't compensate me timewise, I rather see talented...

Re: [M5+6+SFOS] Would you like an app to be written?

I marked request-nbr 22 on the list (Sailfish Wifi password recovery/list) on the openingspost as done. If the requester (Jordi) thinks it is usable for him, he could donate his money to someone like...

Re: how many N900's do you own?

Talking about FUD: thanks for actually supporting statements with test cases. It adds so more value than a simple "QML is a resource hog" claim :)

Re: how many N900's do you own?

You are right in the fact that it is still supported (I thought it was kind of frozen), but desktop frameworks like KDE are moving more and more to QML.That makes it also easier to port it to phones...

Re: how many N900's do you own?

Please create your own Jolla application and judge again. QML is way easier/productive frontend wise. Backend wise it can both be C++.

Old sources do not work on Sailfish because they are...

Re: [Announce] MeeCast

Thanks for the update.

As for feedback: I installed it last week, but it did not update itself. The issue seemed to be that the last_update label was commented out, but the related id was still...

Re: Question: SMS autoreply - howto?

The code can be literally found on the related wiki page (https://wiki.maemo.org/PyMaemo/Phone_call_and_SMS_examples)

Re: start clock app from terminal or script

Cooktimer is just something else he wants to have at startup (used as example I guess)

I am afraid Rasmarc is not lucky enough to have CSSU-testing or the worldclock replacement installed.

The...

Re: [Announce] Cellnet-Info for N900

Exactly what I had in mind.

Version 0.0.1-15 uploaded, which shows a banner stating the ICCID could we inaccurate, and tells if the checksum is valid or not.

Re: [Announce] CSSU devel, it may eat your brain

I would not point the finger at clock-ui at first glance, as it is the frontend and not responsible for the actual alarms.

Disabling/enabling actually means recreating the alarm (cookie), which...

Re: [Announce] Cellnet-Info for N900

Thanks for all the responses.

Just uploaded version 0.0.1-14 (can take a while before available).

It swaps the number pairs and removes the "f". I still needed the number behind the "f" as last...

Re: [Announce] Cellnet-Info for N900

I just inserted a decatived sim card, but I can still use it for ICCID queries it turns out.

It has the last 8 digits engraved. And those are indeed swapped as Xes described. And it is ending with...

Re: [Announce] Cellnet-Info for N900

If the output is alway mixed up the way you describe, I could reorder the output. But then I would need confirmation from at least a few others. I can't remember if I double-checked it myself back...

Re: [Announce] Cellnet-Info for N900

Hi Xes,

What kind of refurbished chinese SIM card are you using :D ?

As I have no device left with a sim card, I can't test/confirm this. cellnet-info should do (a python equivalent of):...

Re: Do not use Aliendalvik Cleanup by Schturman on U11!

By coincidence I did a "rm -rf /opt/alien/*" today (on U11), to freshly install android support.

It did not affect my /home content. Did not look at it closer, but I think I might the related to...

Re: [Announce] BackupMenu - OS backup & restore | New version - Jul 9th(v1.1)

When you are used to the gnu tools (like you), you are likely to see that as how these tools should work everywhere. When you are only used to busybox, that is not the case.

Afaik the developer of...

Re: [Announce] BackupMenu - OS backup & restore | New version - Jul 9th(v1.1)

I do not agree. A developer can only take in account what is default on a device. You can never imagine all possible alterations.

There is always a certain risk in relying on tool text output. I...

Re: Stellarium Mobile

I did a small modification that prevents it from segfaulting at startup. But I am not sure this has some impact elsewhere.

edit: removed (large) RPM because it is tested by Jordi in the meantime....

Here my PERSONAL per device positive points from average use (meaning every day device use and some coding the evening).

That's apart from the somewhat religious debian/systemd wars I encounter...
