Re: Neo900 - finally a successor of N900

Not since I started using Swappolube. Swapping is completely fine and smoother than any Android phone I have used. I have the Blackberry 10 now and it's A LOT choppier feeling than Maemo.

The...

Re: Copying Contacts and SMS from N900 to Blackberry 10.2

Actually in N900 it would only export as a VCF file, so I had to download an old version of PC suite and use that to export one single CSV file from all my contacts. I then uploaded it to Gmail and...

Copying Contacts and SMS from N900 to Blackberry 10.2

Hello All,

I received a Blackberry Q10 from a friend as my N900's screen cracked from removing a screen protector I had used.My N9's battery is dead. If the N900 or N9 was ported like Blackberry...

Re: Nokia N9 completly dead. Flasher doesn't work, don't know what to do.

No, and how would that solve the problem? I would need to open the phone with the torx wrenches and I think they might be stripped. It's easier to just buy a replacement battery at that point. I HATE...

Re: Nokia N9 completly dead. Flasher doesn't work, don't know what to do.

How do I check that? I tried many times to run it, I don't know what to do. I think the problem is - the reason it fails is not because of a corrupt file but because the program thinks that the phone...

Re: Nokia N9 completly dead. Flasher doesn't work, don't know what to do.

I tried redownloading another file but no luck. Could it be because I changed the name of the file to fm.bin? Trying to think of what else it could be. Why is it detecting the battery at 100% even if...

I think so. Here is the full log from the start without the cold flsh parameter. I have to get this working today as I'm flying out tomorrow...

Re: Nokia N9 completly dead. Flasher doesn't work, don't know what to do.

And here is my second logfile, this is when I try to do a full flash. The problem is that the flasher does NOT detect how much battery is left in there, and thinks it's 100%, hence why it doesn't go...

Re: Nokia N9 completly dead. Flasher doesn't work, don't know what to do.

When I try the Flasher -i or flash only kernel commands, those actually work. It's gotten to a point where it blinks every second for about 5 seconds after the initial turning on and off and...

Re: Nokia N9 completly dead. Flasher doesn't work, don't know what to do.

Essentially the problem is that the flashers doesn't charge the batter, it just starts writing onto the phone thinking it's at 100% battery when it's really not... There has to be a workaround...

Re: Nokia N9 completly dead. Flasher doesn't work, don't know what to do.

I really need to get this working in the next day if possible. It seems to charge to a point. I feel a faint vibration when plugging it into the USB, and the LED light stays solid. The flashing...

Re: Nokia N9 completly dead. Flasher doesn't work, don't know what to do.

I actually need the phone to work. I want to use it as an MP3 payer since it has 64GB of storage and the sound quality is not bad (although not as good as the N900)...

Re: Nokia N9 completly dead. Flasher doesn't work, don't know what to do.

For me it flashes it to a point using this guide http://everythingn9.com/death-by-battery-drain-charge-nokia-n9/

The problem is that it says battery 100% on the flasher utility when it's obviously...

Re: Neo900 - finally a successor of N900

I love everything about the N900, except for the speed and battery. UNLESS I ONLY use it as a phone. If I use it as a phone, it's fast enough, but if I start integrating Skype, Google and Facebook...

Re: Neo900 - finally a successor of N900

How am I contradicting myself? All I am saying is that I don't like Android, and if i wanted to buy one I would buy an android device. What I meant is that if we run any Linux based system, how will...

Re: Neo900 - finally a successor of N900

I really feel that Maemo HAS to be ported into the Neo900 for it to make sense. If I wanted an Android device, I would buy an Android device. The whole point of Neo900 is to use Maemo (Maybe Meego or...

Re: Neo900 - finally a successor of N900

So will it be running on Maemo still? If so you mentioned before that it will be ported to be able to run Android apps (like on the Blackberry 10.1, etc...) and if not will the GUI be similar to...

Re: Neo900 - finally a successor of N900

Awesome thank you! Wow that is a Burr Brown and a decent DAC for that. Will it still have a high voltage output like the N900 does?

Also when you say I can hook up an external DAC/AMP via USB,...
