Re: /lib/init/upstart-job is not there?

It seems to partially be the fault of the broken link and partially a problem with other install scripts manually trying to force avahi to start using that link and blocking upgrading due to failed...

Re: Cant uninstall rootsh

There are a couple of ways:

I prefer the openssh method but forgot the root password on one of the n900's I take care of. So I installed rootsh temporarily and I...

Re: maemo-recorder initial version released!

There is Recorder ... but I don't think that it has the format output options ... only WAV.

There is also a nice app called Recaller that works a bit differently in that it is for recording phone...

Re: N900 device program for maemo.org developers and contributors

I just carved my own N900 out of a block of wood. Never having seen the original, I can only assume it works as well.

Re: Fennec Alpha 1

They mentioned that they have not focused on optimizing the speed yet ... just wanted to get a UI preview out there. I hold out hope that things will get much faster.

As for the tab side bar,...

Re: Canola2 Beta 10

Since updating to Diablo, ogg-support-lightmediascanner won't install for me. It is complaining about the wrong version of lightmediascanner lib being available. Any insight on how to get around that?

Don't see a lot changed but performance seems to be improved. Two things I noticed though:
1) There seems to be a grumbling/low frequency popping sound that now comes...

Re: Freemind on N800?

For a much simpler version, you can try Labryinth. It runs on the tablet fairly well and allows you to do simple mind-mapping.

Hard to believe that document package script...

It is pretty...

Re: Seamless Software Upgrade v4.2008.36-5 is out!

So that (and GA and several other "power-users" reporting no big issues) kind of blows away the theory that it is only power-users have this reboot-loop issue.

So let's try to find the common...

Re: Seamless Software Upgrade v4.2008.36-5 is out!

I didn't have anything weird installed. A few apps from the Chinook repo but no core...
