Re: Sailfish Devices in The United States

BTW, looking at the global statistics from Open Repos it looks like the Sailfish OS community in US is pretty big, if not one the biggest one:

Re: [Announce] modRana: a flexible GPS navigation system

modRana 0.52.18 has been released !

Still continuing with the theme of smaller yet important fixes and improvements though arguable the switch to SVG icons is actually pretty significant. Not only...

Re: [FOR SALE] Sony Xperia X (with Sailfish X)

You can certainly transfer a Sailfish X license you own to someone elses Jolla account via Jolla support ticket (zendesk).

Did just that ~two weeks ago - transferred one of my licenses to a...

Re: Sailfish OS (officially) on Sony Xperia devices

Just for the record (again :D): if you don't see the bigger cores used often in Aida on Xperia X with Sailfish OS - you are actually just seeing the still sub-optimal core scheduling. From Sailfish...

Re: Sailfish OS (officially) on Sony Xperia devices

Be careful when comparing the X & XA2 by core number. As you can see:

Xperia X:
Hexa-core (4x1.4 GHz Cortex-A53 & 2x1.8 GHz Cortex-A72)

Xperia XA2:
Octa-core 2.2 GHz Cortex-A53

While XA2...

Re: Xperia X FOR SALE !

Just for the record - if a device has locked bootloder that can't be unlocked (unlock allowed: no in the service menu) then Sailfish OS can't be installed on it.

Found that out the hard way a...

Re: [Announce] modRana: a flexible GPS navigation system

Yeah, I was thinking it would be probably possible to implement it with some QtQuick transformation instead of shaders.

No problem really. :) BTW, I also don't have the Sailfish OS SDK installed...

Re: [Announce] Native offline maps: OSM Scout Server

So looks like the tests have been somehow at fault, as they are compiled against libpostal in some ultra weird manner. So for now I've hard-disabled them (dropped their compilation from the makefile)...

Re: [Announce] modRana: a flexible GPS navigation system

In the meantime, one of the smaller things I've been looking into is the nice animated speed gauge mosen has recently created. It should look like this:

Re: WhoGo Maps

Actually, I like the gauge & I'd like to add it to modRana. :)

There is are already dedicated info display pages in modRana,
so it could be put there as a dedicated speed-gauge page.

As for...

Re: 2.2.0 EA / Mouhijoki

The "new" Sailfish OS path to the SD card is also similar how Fedora mounts SD cards:

Sailfish OS:
