This is a great idea and works quite well already, but I'd also need to have my outgoing messages stored in the phone in order to actually use this application.

I found (part of) my problem!

Apparently Tiny Tiny RSS doesn't handle @-signs in usernames well.

I set up my own tt-rss-server for testing and reproducably login fails with usernames that...

I can't authenticate against "my" server, too. The admins switched off SSLv3, so that might be the problem.

OTOH, starting the app from the terminal gives this output:


Login failed...
