you're right, you can flash the device without the SIM but the CMT error is related to GSM module and putting something between SIM and battery is to keep the GSM module under pressure.

it is a hardware problem and flashing wont fix it. it is a common problem. put some paper between SIM and the battery to keep the SIM under pressure then flash it. but i have to say this is a...

dude... i think you should consider replacing your phone, i had the same problem. putting a piece of paper behind sim is a temporary solution.

I had same problem.Sent it to nokia care last week but they said it can't be repaired.worst part is my phone is not under warranty so i guess i have to buy a brand new n900 :)

media player problem

hey guys.i have a wierd problem with media player.sometimes after i get a missed call,medi player starts to play a song and i am using media player desktop widget.
