I didn't follow the instruction and deleted the swapfile in use and i made a new bigger one - i think gparted shouldn't allow it - but it worked fine for me (i think you should mess with the swapfile...

My apt-get tests
Fbreader works - enter key to fullscreen (i will look into key on this weekend)
cbrpager works - but the icons build a tower in the middle of the screen and leave very little space...

If you used the Starq7 0.13 mer firmware - you should try to install with the firmware named to SmartQ5 (have both "SmartQ5 and SmartQ7" on)

SDcard should be fat32 and just put the firmware "SmartQ7" on the card("in root"=not in a mapp). i dont think it matter on with partition but put in the first or both;)

Same wireless drivers - on the name - you should name it SmartQ7.
To start flashing - hold down "select (under +-) and plug in charger (now you should have a yellow light not a orange dot) soon...
