N9 Released in the US
Just found a link to an article. If this is correct, then Elop has been forced to back down and reverse some of his decisions.

I bt mine at HN, so no contract. Currently at 66% of update. If your phone was locked to aTelstra or Optus then you will have to wait for them to approve and release the update.

I wish there was some way of displaying the source/properties of the icon as you do on a PC. This would make it far easier to eliminate the issue. I guess we have to wait for an answer. I'll check...

I have exactly the same issue from the same installation. Can't get rid of the icon. Very annoying. I guess you must have to go into developer mode for thhis one. Not too confident with that.
