Any idea how we can fix the gesture orientation problem (swipe from right to close and swipe from left to see feeds etc.) on N9 / N950 to make it work like a Jolla device? Is it an accelerometer...

No need. The Store will generate a hashed password for you, based on your recreated Jolla account password.
You can check if it exists after running the store. :P

Close the Store app first.
Replace your /etc/ssu/ssu.ini as attached in http://talk.maemo.org/showpost.php?p=1395790&postcount=772
Remove your existing Jolla account.
Create your Jolla account...

Try boot back to Harmattan and chroot to Sailfish. There you can run the passwd command.
