I can't update. It says I need to use the Nokia PC Suite, which I don't have and don't want to install. It appears that some version of libc is outdated...? any ideas?

Actually I've just noticed there is a scratch which was hidden by the protective sticker, and I didn't peel it off until I got it to work... and now the ebay seller wont reply to me.
So maybe £10...

Has your new slider arrived yet? I got a new slider and it fixed my problem, so maybe the connection to your digitizer on the slider is broken (despite it going through the LCD connector).

OK, I got a new slider and it's now working :D
I didn't need to assemble it fully, or even peel off the protective plastic. It stil lturns on even when I hold the slider, LCD and digitizer in a T...

Well thanks, it does feel faster but why did you put parallax as -2.1? Surely the best setting is 1.0 or maybe 1.1 or 1.2? Feels really odd when the icons move in the opposite direction to finger.

I bought from ebay UK, 99p for 6, including postage, which means about 8p...
