I upgraded it to 3.4 OTA, and now I'm able to get video playback using the Browser (YouTube 1080p with no dropped frames)! Still no luck with any other native application, though.

I upgraded successfully to from 3.2 to 3.4, but it still breaks media playback with native applications. YouTube using Browser is still OK, though.
It's strange, because the audio is ok, the time...

I tried downloading the scorpion_windy image, but I once again forgot that I have a scorpion device (with 4G)... Oh well, back to 2.2 alpha and upgrading from there to see what happens.

It seems to be related to the SFOS upgrade. Something fundamental changed with the stack that is responsible for decoding the videos, I guess that change broke video on Z3 + 3.3.0... Haven't yet...

FWIW I hastily upgraded to 3.3.0.14 EA with sfos-upgrade, and things went smoothly. I haven't ran the CSD tool yet, but I believe everything should still work.
