2 days is amazing just returned my second faulty n900 because it went from fully charged to flat in 4 hours, and i never used it it was in standby lol and no it wasn't a faulty battery it also did it...

i have the same problem but not all the time it will not work for hours and then bingo back to normal think i just have a female phone lol it just wont do anything if it is not in the mood yesterday...
