This Notification is generated by xbmc itself as soon as something connects to the event server. There's no way to control it except setting the icon and the application name in the connection...

Port 9999 should be used on the Xbmc host, not on the N9. If you get a connection refused there's something wrong with your Xbmc box. Maybe a firewall or invalid settings.

As I said. Git master already works fine with Frodo (except some minor outstanding bugs). For now you need to compile it on your own though if you want to run Frodo beta... Stay tuned for the Frodo...
