Re: My vision for the future of Maemo Fremantle

What I mean is that the specific packages in point 1 (e.g. libc, kernel etc etc etc) will come from Debian/Devuan and we will either point to the built .debs directly (if there are suitable .debs out...

Re: [Announce] CSSU devel, it may eat your brain

Freemangordon fixed libplayback and it works now (at least in so far as mediaplayer and notification daemon play audio correctly)

Re: KRACK - a patch will be needed to fix wpa2 bug...

Digging into the WiFi stack and figuring out what it will take to replace it with wpa_supplicant is actually on my to-do list.

Re: [Announce] CSSU devel, it may eat your brain

Do not use libplayback-1-0 package from cssu-devel, it makes media player crash.

Re: [Announce] CSSU devel, it may eat your brain

FYI, do NOT install maemo-launcher from cssu-devel, when I did it prevented anything relying on it (e.g. hildon-home, hildon-desktop etc) from starting and I had to use RescueOS to restore stock...

Re: [Announce] CSSU devel, it may eat your brain

Given how far its getting and where its failing, its likely to be something preventing hildon-home or hildon-desktop from starting properly. I dont know how to find out which package (probably one of...

Re: [Announce] CSSU devel, it may eat your brain

Its your own fault for not heeding the warnings and indiscriminately installing things from community-devel.
That said, what sort of boot loop? How far in the boot process does it get before it...

In regards to libraries on the N900, the libraries we have on the N900 fit into several categories:

Re: My vision for the future of Maemo Fremantle

I was mostly talking about the armhf thing but FMG says there is no real reason the new work needs to use armhf at all and that switching to armel is trivial so that's sorted.

My vision for the future of Maemo Fremantle

There is an effort right now to produce a Devuan based OS that uses Maemo libraries (hildon and things for example) and can be run on various bits of hardware (with both the N900 and Neo900 being...

debugging maemo-invoker apps

Re: [Announce] CSSU devel, it may eat your brain

Fixing the WiFi flaw is definitely on the todo list for the developers (probably by replacing the WiFi subsystem with something based on e.g. wpa_supplicant). There is no easy fix because the...

Re: [Announce] CSSU devel, it may eat your brain

Be VERY careful when running apt-get upgrade with cssu-devel enabled. It is highly likely it will install the package kernel-modules but not actually install the newer kernel. If that happens your...

Re: Problems with N900 USB port becoming broken / loose and resulting warranty & repair issues

Re: documents from www.wirelessmodemapi.com

According to cmt-firmware-rx51 as of PR 1.3 (the last firmware for the N900), we need the docs for version 10w08. Google doesn't show anything about them.

The cellmo-icpr82-headers package seems...
