Re: US Govt rootkits, hbgary black-ops and Nokia's Chief Security Specialist

Re: US Govt rootkits, hbgary black-ops and Nokia's Chief Security Specialist

Are you saying that the only connection between hbgary and Nokia's Chief Security Specialist is that he just happens to have root access to that server, for no good reason?

I'm not commenting on...

Re: Sygic 10 Bugs

I've had a number of occasions now when Sygic stops updating the moving map, but continues to give voice guidance. For example, it might tell me to take a particular turn from a roundabout, but...

Re: [Updated Dec 21] Conky 1.9.6b n900 edition

Creamy poked me by email yesterday and reminded me to push the Conky 1.9.6-1.2 package from extras-testing to extras, which I've now done.

I've managed to get tolua++ built now and can build Conky...

Re: Processor constantly 100% battery draining too quick and sluggish!! Think theres a rogue app somewhere in my log

I'd suggest a reboot as the first step. I've recently started using Matan's modified Hildon Desktop package and it seems to have fixed some issues. My basic approach before hand was to assume that...

Re: N900: JTAG or serial console over USB?

The sheevaplug offers these options via built in JTAG and Serial interface hardware conected to its USB Peripheral interface. It's a nice approach, but the N900 doesn't do that.

Re: HAM / APRS thread

So USB host mode for the N900 is looking as if it will be useful imminently, and the new Kenwood D-72 HT is due in early December (I've just preordered one).

I've put a feature request in for the...

Re: N900 kernel v45, why with uboot???

I disagree. I'm interesting in the kernel-power kernel, but I'm not interested in overclocking.

Re: leepanalyser, healthcheck and wifi eye can't run

According to this (http://www.mwkn.net/2010/46/apps.html) it is MohammadAG that deserves credit for finding the fix.

I'm as grateful to him as you are :)

Re: [Updated Nov 15] Conky 1.9.0 n900 edition

Assuming Creamy hasn't pushed an updated conky through the autobuilder before then, I'd hope to be able to help out with any remaining packaging and extras stuff towards the end of December, as I...

Re: installing skype. packege not found (from ovi store)india mobile

You could simply elect a government that doesn't want to ban skype. Why do you think its not supported in the Indian firmware?

Oh, and by word of explanation, I find Indian claims of rascism...

Re: N900 Will not work in Mass Storage after PR1.3

Don't forget that if the tracker is scanning a mounted partition, then it can't be unmounted to allow the host PC to access it via usb. Always wait after a reboot until the tracker has finished...

Re: On the massive success of the Nokia Innovators contest at bringing us quality N900 software

Re: What's new in PR 1.3

Yep, last time I installed bash from extras this info was provided (that was 6 months or more ago).

I ran bash-setup for the default user but not for root.

Re: Vodafone UK blocking access to Nokia repositories ?

Ah, could be. I shifted my AP up to a high channel number and the N900 followed it when it changed. However it wouldn't use the same channel after a reboot, which seemed a bit odd.

I wasn't...
