Thanks a lot mate. I was able to retrieve my file. For the benefit of others who may face similar situation in future, these are the steps i did to retrieve the previous versions of my file

In Notes application i have been maintaining a file(which is sort of a todo list for my personal use) for a long time now. Today i entered some incorrect info into it and did Ctrl Z to undo it....

I used to have a very basic nokia phone(1100) and an decent laptop(Dell Inspiron 6000) before. Once N900 arrived I sold them both.

Did you drop your phone or applied lot of pressure before the issue happened? I saw similar symptoms with my wifes galaxy s which was dropped from 1 foot high. No scratch or dent on screen and touch...

Did you try charging using the power charger or using the micro usb cable from PC? If you have tried only with the power charger i suggest you try with the micro usb cable and see if its charginig.

Thanks for sharing. I own a UK purchased N900 and would be moving back to India for good in few days. I know Nokia India would not service my UK N900, but I still feel happy that its getting launched...
