Xephyr crazy keyboard mapping

I'm trying to do some development in scratchbox, and the keyboard is completely unusable. There seems to be some kind of crazy keyboard mapping at work: pressing "3" gives me "t", "d" gives "1", "e"...

Re: Modest patch: offline IMAP support

I asked for the offline IMAP stuff to be merged into the official trunk several times, and never got a friendly response, so I gave up. Recently pali asked for it to be merged into the CSSU and he...

Re: Modest patch: offline IMAP support

Oh, forgot to mention that you also need the patched .debs of Tinymail:

Re: Modest patch: offline IMAP support

The .debs are here:

http://apt.exon.name/pool/main/m/modest/

But I would probably recommend against mixing CSSU and this version of Modest. Anything fixed in the CSSU version won't be fixed in...

Re: Modest patch: offline IMAP support

If you mean the offline imap patches, I tried to explain the process as simply as I could at the top of this page:

http://mat.exon.name/modest/

Is there something confusing there?

Re: How to disable "Select connection" popups on N900?

Hey yeah, stopping icd2 is exactly what I needed. Thanks!

A bit more detail in case anyone else sees the thread, you run "/etc/init.d/icd2 stop" as root. Or add this to /etc/sudoers:

user ALL...

Re: How to disable "Select connection" popups on N900?

Ah, that takes me back to the bad old days of Diablo! I'll probably just do that, and hope that the Community SSC provides a better solution in the long term. Thanks!

I already have all of those settings as you describe, doesn't seem to make a difference.

How to disable "Select connection" popups on N900?

I often use my N900 when I'm travelling. Roaming rates are absurd, so I either keep it in offline mode or at least not connected to a network.

But the N900 really, really wants an internet...

Re: [solved -> reflash] large Xorg.0.log - no space left in /tmp

In case you're still seeking reassurance, I'm having this problem too. I assume it's related to me using my bluetooth keyboard, since it's only since I started using it that I saw the problem. In...

Re: Schedule a backup

Just to pipe up, I'd like something like this, a way to schedule a backup on the command line.

Please note that nothing based on duplicity, scp, rsync, etc etc is even close to an adequate backup...

Are there any development repositories I should know about?

There are a couple of utilities I'd like on my N900: git-svn and uuid. So I'm going through the same procedure I went through on my N810 (http://mat.exon.name/logs/maemo). apt-get source the...

Re: Bluetooth keyboard: can't connect, can't disconnect

I am now, finally, in a position to answer both of my own questions. For my own amusement if nothing else, I'll give them here.

First of all, what's it all about with the greyed out "Disconnect"?...

Re: Bluetooth keyboard - anyone know how to interpret these logs?

I already got it working fine with Ubuntu, so I'm pretty sure the keyboard works.

Re: Bluetooth keyboard - anyone know how to interpret these logs?

I don't think it can be any failing in security: pairing with a PIN completes, and the keyboard is apparently happy enough to send the link key over the air:

Bluetooth keyboard - anyone know how to interpret these logs?

I'm still trying to get my ThinkOutside Stowaway Bluetooth keyboard to work. I have three of these keyboards, and they all behave the same way. They will pair with my N900 for a split-second, but...

Bluetooth keyboard: can't connect, can't disconnect

I've just got a new ThinkOutside stowaway bluetooth keybard, actually the fourth of these I've owned now. So I know for a fact that they sometimes work, and even started a wiki page about them:

Re: Modest and gdb problems

Just a followup: it's not just me. The supplied version of gdb is simply broken. It doesn't work. Don't try to make it work.

Re: Why does gdb core-dump in scratchbox?

This is currently driving me insane. My experiences with Maemo so far have been mixed: as a user, Maemo is appalling. As a developer, it's so, so much worse. Distributing a non-functional debugger...

No, this is not going into the repos, not unless the Tinymail team fix that bug.
