Is that possible to make an USSD request from command-line and get the text output? Also, is it possible to specify from which SIM card to make a request on multi-sim phones?

PS I know about gdbus...

Re: 2.2.1.18 Nurmonjoki

Because people like 'common denominators'. Hey, it's even in math! :)

PS What if I told you that there are 21:9 monitors? mind you, 21:9, not so logically-looking-for-you 7:3

Re: 2.2.1.18 Nurmonjoki

what's so unusual? it's easy to understand

first it was 4:3, then (4:3)^2 = 16:9 and also 16:10 (also it has to do with old resolutions like 320*200 (16:10), 320*240, 640*480, 800*600)
then from...

Re: Russian Open Mobile development based on SFOS

You keep making the same mistake. Russia as a country doesn't want to be 'successfull' in the 'mobile octagon'.
Russia doesn't care about phones, except in general ability to have something that's...

Re: Russian Open Mobile development based on SFOS

Russians have already written code for Sailfish RU, some of which is probably ported upstream to the SF core code. So you should run away.

PS To be fair, you should also mention that If it wasn't...

Re: Sailfish OS (officially) on Sony Xperia devices

XZ2 and XZ2Compact got a 51.1.A.11.51 update, which updates the bootloader to v60, so it now allows to boot AOSP.

Everything is ready for the next Sony SFOS phone :)

Re: Russian Open Mobile development based on SFOS

God almighty! We are starving here, nobody cares about phones :D

Actually 0.61 * 0.84 ~ 51%

PS Keep in mind, these per cents aren't official, it is from magazine's sources.

Re: Russian Open Mobile development based on SFOS

Putin doesn't use phones. I suppose he doesn't even know what Jolla is.

PS Yeah, I know, it's strange. From the western media it would seem like he knows everything and owns everything :)

Re: Sailfish OS (officially) on Sony Xperia devices

Since Jolla doesn't build the full fw from scratch (like it was on jPhone or Nokia N9), but is using HAL, - it should have those proprietary Sony android bits.

That's why you have to flash those...

Re: Sailfish OS (officially) on Sony Xperia devices

With XZ3 Compact being just around the corner (Aug.30) and Sony still struggling with XZ2 Compact bootloader update release, Jolla could as well jump right on fresh XZ3C after XA2 release.

PS If...

Re: Sailfish OS (officially) on Sony Xperia devices

Is this the kernel source for the XZ2 Compact?
https://github.com/sonyxperiadev/device-sony-tama
https://github.com/sonyxperiadev/device-sony-apollo

Then why it's missing from this list?...

Re: Sailfish OS (officially) on Sony Xperia devices

you can omit this '-i 0x0fce ' part
it is to specify the exact connected phone. doesn't matter when you connect only one phone

Re: Sailfish OS (officially) on Sony Xperia devices

Minutes from last meeting suggest that SFOS3 on X will stay on 3.10 kernel (with possible rebase later), while XA2 will get 4.4.

Re: Sailfish OS (officially) on Sony Xperia devices

These are not the tests. Give me a linux kernel compilation time on both, then we'll talk (I'm not asking for SPEC :) ).
Also XA2 is 1mm wider than X (and X is already too big) - speaking of N9...

Re: Sailfish OS (officially) on Sony Xperia devices

Because it's not. It's a low-mid range phone, whereas X was almost top of the line.
Specs are almost the same. So I don't understand what clovis86 is so excited about.
