Re: Sailfish 3.0.0.5 Lemmenjoki EA

Not overlooking, omitting deliberately. Because this is such a high level UI thing that if a device type makes a difference then the OS is seriously, totally messed up. I could not believe that Jolla...

Re: Sailfish 3.0.0.5 Lemmenjoki EA

Curiouser and curiouser!

It seems this bug only manifests when it is the Sailfish Browser that is the foreground application!
If anything else is on foreground, the device behaves nicely and...

Re: Sailfish 3.0.0.5 Lemmenjoki EA

It would indeed be a bug if it were true. I cannot reproduce it. It always goes to the events/notifications/whateveryouwanttocallit screen.[/QUOTE]

Well there's one thing you are overlooking here...

Re: Sailfish 3.0.0.5 Lemmenjoki EA

Ah, that seems to be an inconsistency!
1.) If you had no foreground app open (are in main screen), it shows up the notifications screen
2.) If you had a foreground app open, it flashes the...

Re: Partly corrupted mmcblk0p1

Whaaaat??? After a fresh format, you have only 19.6G free in your FAT partition? That does not sound right. What does 'df -h' say?

Re: Sailfish 3.0.0.5 Lemmenjoki EA

In my case, presents the screen to enter the unlock code :)

And then goes to the events view, minimising all the apps.

Re: Sailfish 3.0.0.5 Lemmenjoki EA

I think you forgot:
4.) I can do swipe-from-side & swipe-from-top, like I did in SFOS2
The foreground application is minimized and device is locked

It's an unsolvable mystery to me why on...

I just now noticed you actually said

I don't think it ever went to main screen however long you waited, hours, to the next day, ...?
On SFOS2 you always got back the way that top application...

Re: Sailfish 3.0.0.5 Lemmenjoki EA

OK, I'll clarify my take on this.

On SFOS2: I'm using an application and want to lock the device.
1.) I can do swipe-from-side & swipe-from-top
The foreground application is minimized and...

Re: Sailfish 3.0.0.5 Lemmenjoki EA

It did?

It is possible, I suppose. But since you had to go to home screen first to lock the screen anyway, it was only exposed by accident, when the screen locked itself due to a...

Re: Partly corrupted mmcblk0p1

That's right. The N900's eMMC has three partitions. MyDocs is the fat one. You won't lose anything else by formatting it. Loose is something not fixed.

Re: Sailfish 3.0.0.5 Lemmenjoki EA

Nope, in SFOS2 it also worked like that, the foreground app stayed on top when you locked the device. (or else I remember it wrong, mind you I have been using SFOS3 for more than 2 weeks now and...

Re: Sailfish 3.0.0.5 Lemmenjoki EA

I kind-of like the new design that brings up the menu on middle pull and closes the open application on corner pull.
That eases my life as it saves me a 2-gesture chain; I used to first do a...

Re: Fix Nokia n9 deadly cmt issue

Indeed! A very nice gesture by this guy!
Also got my hands on a new, never used battery as well.
Will surely be asking some questions, the ultimate goal is to use the N9 as a daily driver !
