Re: [ANNOUNCE] Tor anonymous proxy

Could I make another feature request?

Rather than overwriting the pref.js file, could the tor-switch script leave unchanged all settings other than the ones that it needs to modify? Shouldn't be...

Re: [ANNOUNCE] Tor anonymous proxy

About the DNS, is there some reason why you haven't simply routed DNS requests through the tor proxy as described here: http://superuser.com/questions/103593/how-to-do-dns-through-a-proxy-in-firefox...

Re: [Discussion] Powermenu - Sailfish

Nice app, thank you very much!

Not sure if I'm just not getting something, but I can't figure out how to cancel. That is, once I long-tap the power button I can find no way to go back without a...

Re: Shellshock? Maemo?

This argument is all very interesting, but can anyone provide a simple answer to the question of whether a bash update is likely to become available, and/or should I try to make one myself?

Re: New problems with ring tones and booting

OK that's good to know. Is there any timeframe on the fix and/or is there a way to install the fix without waiting on the update?

I tried removing overclock completely, but it made no...

New problems with ring tones and booting

Hello all,

I had two new problems appear when I last upgraded CSSU on my N900. I don't upgrade very often because my N900 has been good and stable for some years now. I only upgraded this time to...

Re: [Development] kernel-power

Thanks for the pointer, it works for me now too.

I did it one package at a time with re-boots in between in the hope of isolating the package that made the difference. If it's any help it was...

Re: [Development] kernel-power

I seem to be getting the same symptoms as @DarkSide25 so I'd like to try the same fix. When you say reinstall each kernel and bme replacement package, could you tell me exactly which ones you mean?

Re: [SOLVED] apt-get error

Unfortunately that doesn't really help. I still get the GPG errors, plus now a 503 Service Unavailable. Maybe it would help if I used HAM.

Re: [SOLVED] apt-get error

Sorry to bump this thread but it seems the closest to the problem I am having. For some time I have been getting "BADSIG E40DC434616730BD maemo.org Extras repositories (Fremantle Extras)...

Re: [ANNOUNCE] Columbus Navigation Toolkit

Thank you. FYI I am using kernel version 2.6.28.10-power52 and pali's BME replacement.

I'm having trouble doing as pali suggests in that post because I'm getting various package signing errors...

Re: [ANNOUNCE] Columbus Navigation Toolkit

I tried that for a while, but it runs so slowly under gdb and I gave up waiting for it to segfault. Maybe more patience is all that is required.

I don't quite follow what that means. Starting...

Re: [ANNOUNCE] Columbus Navigation Toolkit

@handaxe - also OT but I can't find any threads that mention this. Since I included community-testing among my repos and did an upgrade, my hald_addon_bme has stopped working. That is, when I plug my...

Re: [ANNOUNCE] Columbus Navigation Toolkit

Thanks.

Unfortunately doesn't really tell me what I didn't already know. Two valid stack frames then nothing but question marks. Some buffer over- or under-run has destroyed the stack? Any...

Re: [ANNOUNCE] Columbus Navigation Toolkit

More intensive CPU usage and/or a larger executable.

I think that gdb already has the symbols from the qt libraries.

The issue seems to be that the stack is either corrupted or gdb thinks...

Re: [ANNOUNCE] Columbus Navigation Toolkit

Ah OK I see I was missing the community-testing repo.

I don't think I need any more core dumps, since they all look pretty much the same:

I don't really know enough about arm architecture...
