I have found that installing the Bluetooth keyboard stuff fixes nearly all of the issues with USB keyboard.
It is my understanding that it includes xmodmap.

If you can't see the pict, keep trying. The server was moved to a totally different network a few hours before I posted that. It is likely a DNS propagation error.
